<p class="MsoNormal">I’m trying out the new release of Suricata on a box with an Endance DAG 9.2x2 card and I get the following error when I start the Suricata process:</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">28/1/2016 -- 13:25:02 - <Error> - [ERRCODE: SC_ERR_INITIALIZATION(45)] - Engine initialization failed, aborting...</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I run Suricata using:</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">/usr/bin/suricata –c /etc/suricata/suricata.yaml –dag dag0:2</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Suricata 2.x works just fine.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Has anyone else experienced this or have an idea what might be going on?</p></div></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I don't have a 9.2 card to test with, but I've just pushed Suricata 3.0 to a sensor running a 7.5G2 card on v5.3 of the DAG software and it's working fine.</div><div><br></div><div>I do note though that your errors refer to dag0:21, but your command line says dag0:2.
