I think this is a bug since member md5 is guarded by defines in 
util-file.h:

#ifdef HAVE_NSS
     HASHContext *md5_ctx;
     uint8_t md5[MD5_LENGTH];
#endif


I installed libnss/nspr and had to specify their location on configure 
line, also if I installed them using standard apt-get.
