[OISF/outreachy] Help needed in installing Suricata

Greetings,
I am getting this error after ./configure && make && make-full install
command.
 /bin/mkdir -p '/usr/local/lib'
 /bin/bash ../libtool   --mode=install /usr/bin/install -c   libhtp.la
'/usr/local/lib'

/usr/local/lib/libhtp.so.2.0.0
/usr/bin/install: cannot remove '/usr/local/lib/libhtp.so.2.0.0':
Permission denied
