Hi, all!
We had a rule of "one active ticket at a time" which was mainly
introduced because of limited contribution period worthy Python
tickets and a lot of applicants. We wanted to keep the same rules for
both the projects but seeing that the setup and certain tickets can
prove to be challenging and that we have way too many tickets still
available in C/Rust and not many applicants, we have decided to let
anybody participating in "Convert protocol from C to Rust" project
claim up to 3 tickets at a time. We hope this will give you time to
work on another issue in case you're stuck on one. But, please make
sure to try and finish the work that you claim. And if you're stuck,
make sure to ASK. ;)
Please note that this in no way affects the rules that are there for
the Python project (i.e. one active ticket at a time) and the
selection. Selection of participants from both the projects shall be
done separately so if you are working on the Python project, you do
not have to worry about someone being able to contribute more than you
on the C side. You shall only be evaluated as per Python project's
rules and of course the work that you did.
Finally, please know that the number of issues resolved do not matter.
The quality of your work does, your contribution to the organization
and your fellow applicants does; which we see all of you doing
amazingly already. :)
Have a wonderful day! Please get back in case of any queries.
