Hey guys,

congrats on the funding.

I have plans and schematics (sort of) for a distributed IP filter device
that is capable of blocking billions of IP addresses without much
performance impact (near wire-speed). It's a two-tiered setup with a
filter engine/device and a controller, which, in Snortsam-fashion, can
be linked to allow blocking in a cloud. The device (in bridge-mode)
would be able to filter up to a couple billion hostile IP addresses.

My thought was that this would be the perfect border defense for large
entities like the US Government (protect all departments, all entry
points). Would you be interested in discussing the plans and possibly
work with me on creating such a beast?

Cheers,
Frank

compared to a sewer. A big, fat pipe with a bunch of crap sloshing
against your ports.
