The existing(and soon to be old) cuda code in suricata is slower than
the cpu. It has been redesigned(sometime back infact, but we didn't
push it). Will try and have it pushed in the next couple of days.
Haven't tried live mode yet, so I'll wait till I test it before
commenting about it.
In offline pcap file mode, it's faster, although the margin varies.
On various pcap files I see a perf improvement in the 5-30% range.
This is the first revised version and there are other improvements
which will further improve perf definitely.
For the amount you'd be paying, I'd just buy a gtx titan which is
monster, for a lot less $ in fact.
