[Oisf-users] error compiling Suricata with PF_RING

I'm trying to compile suricata with PF_RING.

I'm following Peter guide at 
http://pevma.blogspot.se/2013/12/suricata-and-grand-slam-of-open-source_4.html
but compilation stops here:
checking for pfring_open in -lpfring... no
checking for pfring_stats in -lpfring... no

    ERROR! --enable-pfring was passed but the library was not found or 
version is >4, go get it
    from http://www.ntop.org/PF_RING.html

It seems it stops one step after the one Peter warns about. And yes, 
I'am using LIBS=-lrt
