[Oisf-users] looking for tools to test/penetrate suricata

Hi,

i'm looking for tools like pytbull
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/pytbull/) to test and penetrate the
IDS/IPS functionality from suricata.
Pytbull looks promising but isn't working and the development stopped
2012, so is there anyone in the suricata community that can recommend
any tool/lib for testing suricata (triggering rules, mass traffic,
simulated attacks etc.)?

Even selfmade solutions are welcome :)
