[Oisf-users] CUDA/PF_RING/Virtual Machine?

Hi,
I was hoping to run Suricata in a Ubuntu virtual machine using CUDA and
PF_RING and found the instructions here

It says that it will not work in a virtual machine.  Why is this? Or is it
just an old article? It's from 2011 from the looks of it.  I'll be using
ESXi 5.5 which allows GPU and NIC passthrough direct to the VM.
