Fixed my problem. For anyone who may have this problem in the future:

It turns out I specified bad values for some of the cuda buffers in the cuda
mpm section of the config file. I used the values from this site
(http://www.poona.me/2013/06/suricata-cuda-engine-re-designed.html) as a
reference and got successful execution.

Cheers,

Subject: Suricata w/ CUDA Toolkit 6.5

Hi all,

I've been trying to successfully run Suricata with the latest CUDA Toolkit
on a GTX 970. I was wondering if anyone has had any success with this in the
past?

I followed the various guides for compiling Suricata with CUDA support, I
ran into an error were 'make' tries to compile the sm_10 gpu architecture
that is no longer supported, so I replace it the gpu architecture supported
by the GTX 970 (sm_52).

Everything successfully compiles and Suricata runs correctly on non-CUDA
based mpm algorithms. Suricata even passes the 8 CUDA unit tests, but when I
run Suricata on a pcap file with the use of the CUDA card by setting the mpm
algorithm to ac-cuda setting, it crashes with the following error code:

6/3/2015 -- 14:49:52 - <Error> - [ERRCODE: SC_ERR_FATAL(171)] - Error
retrieving slice. Please report this to dev.

I'm running Suricata 2.0.6, and I am fairly certain the gtx 970 is correctly
installed as it passes all of the toolkit samples.

Any Ideas? Anyone else able to get Suricata running with the 6.5 CUDA
toolkit?

Best regards,

Blake Johnson
