Yes - i have not seen that on i40.
I had a similar case once (iirc) on ixgbe - but it was fixed by using
the in-kernel built in drivers. do you mind trying it out if it works
in your system?

Yes - understood .I was hoping if we can narrow it down to kernel or
NIC/drivers.
