[Oisf-announce] OISF Welcomed into the Open Source Initiative

We wanted to share some great news with you...

OISF has been welcomed into the Open Source Initiative (
http://opensource.org).  After a vetting process, the Open Source
Initiative board
voted unanimously to welcome us into their community.

Open Source Initiative is a global non-project focused on promoting and
protecting open source software, development and communities.  They are
active in community-building, education, and public advocacy to promote the
awareness and importance of non-proprietary software.

Look for the announcement on Twitter at #OpenSource or on the OSI website
http://opensource.org/node/754.  We will also be posting the announcement
on our oisf.net website.
