[OISF/outreachy] Introduction - Blithe

Hi Suricata team,

I’m Blithe Brandon, a new Outreachy applicant. I’ve subscribed to the mailing list, registered on Redmine (blithe), and am reviewing Outreachy/Python issues. I’m interested in getting more involved in Infosec and love Python.

I’m running MacOS, have used Ubuntu and other Linux flavors in the past, and am comfortable with terminal (apt-get, etc). Will I be able to work on Suricata issues using my current OS or do you recommend I run a Ubuntu vm or a dual-boot?
